Detailing Double-Feature: Mercedes AMG GT + C8 Corvette

Laying a foundation for detailing

Mercedes-Benz AMG GT Paint Correction

Before we even think about applying a ceramic coating or paint protection film, surfaces have to be properly washed, decontaminated and refined. This may seem like an obvious statement in the field of automotive detailing, but it deserves reiteration! Not every vehicle (or client!) needs a ceramic coating, and some paint surfaces are past the benefit of PPF- it’s our duty to recommend a service that will enhance & protect within reason. With the AMG GT in the video above, we stuck to a 2-Step Paint Correction and Paint Chip Repair, with multiple layers of sealant to deliver a slick and glossy finish!

“It’s brand new, it doesn’t need to be washed or polished…”

2022 Cevrolet Corvette Stingray Coupe (C8)

One might hope that their car, fresh off the lot with less than 10 miles on it, would be perfectly clean, free of contamination, and devoid of any swirls! We can tell you now, this is rarely the case. Dust nibs or sanding marks from the factory, ferrous contamination from the railway or trailer transportation, swirls from numerous people walking around it or wiping it down- your car will need some TLC to get it to a real, undeniably “new” look! In preparation for its STEK DYNOshield PPF and CQuartz ceramic coating detail, this new Corvette Stingray was treated to our decontamination and paint correction services, just as any other vehicle would be. Granted, we can appreciate that there’s less to do, compared to say, a 10 year old Corvette- but we still take the steps necessary!
